Coin-Operated Arcade Machines:

Pac-Man
Ms. Pac-Man
Namco 20 Year Reunion: Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga - Class of 1981
Defender

Coin-operated arcade machines, while not nearly as common as they were before the turn of the century, are still fascinating and capable of generating revenue for your business, restaurant, bar or rental property.

Many modern venue owners short on space have opted for the modern combination Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga cabinet (above center) to have 2 of the most popular games in one cabinet, or the increasingly popular Golden Tee golf game, which has cabinets in various configurations and annual update kits available.

Tybee Games uses actual original arcade game boards and builds new machines with new hardware around them. We do not sell used arcade machines, though the game boards used generally have been harvested from used machines.

Materials commonly used are MDF (medium density fiberboard), NOS (new old stock) or reproduced artwork, new controls (joysticks, buttons, trackballs, etc.), new power supplies, new coin mechs, new t-molding and new CRT or LCD monitors.

Golden Tee Unplugged 2008

Currently Under Construction:

Super Shanghai - Dragon's Eye

(Activision/Hot-B, 1991)

A Mahjong Solitaire video game for 1-2 players.

We have located 2 original game boards for this rare video game in Greece and will be building new cabinets for them with new controls, new LCD monitors and custom-made artwork. These are English language bootlegs with 3 game modes: Quest (with varying tilesets), Paradise (mature version of Quest mode) & Advanced (traditional tileset & game mode).

Shanghai III   (FINISHED!  $500)

(Sunsoft, 1993)

A Mahjong Solitaire video game for 1-2 players.

We have located an English language version of this rare game board in Greece and have built a new low-profile cabinet for it with all-new controls and a brand-new LCD arcade monitor. Ours is the only working example on Earth!

Perfect Billiards

(Nihon Systems/United Artists, 1987)

A billiards (pool) video game for 1-2 players.

We have located 2 game boards of this interesting video game from 1987. It had a port to the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) called Lunar Pool, loosely based on its gameplay. Each level has different table layout which progresses like a  miniature golf game.

Tetris

(Atari Games, 1988)

The game that started the puzzle genre! For 1-2 players.

We have located 3 game boards for the US version of this popular game that is very addictive and well known throughout the world. This is the popular Atari version with catchy music and three selectable levels of skill.

Golden Tee 2K

(Incredible Technologies, 1999)

Arcade golf game for 1-4 players.

This game along with Golden Tee Classic were the last 2 games in the series to use a JAMMA board only without the hard drive used on the newer machines for 3D modeled courses. Same Graphics engine as GT3D, GT97, GT98, GT99 & GT Classic. We have 2 of these. One is being used in a Combo Cab with World Class Bowling.

Hard Head

(SunA Electronics, 1988)

A side-scrolling platformer for 1-2 players.

This platformer is a shameless rip-off of Super Mario Bros., but it has one interesting feature: 2 players can play simultaneously! Otherwise, it shares many features with SMB: breaking blocks by jumping up into them (hence the title), landing on enemies kills them & plenty of pickups for points and health.

Soul Calibur

(Namco, 1998)

A head-to-head fighter for 1-2 players.

Supposedly, the highest-rated fighting game of all time. We acquired this board along with its bezel artwork/instruction card in 2013 and will soon be building a cabinet for it. Swordplay is a feature of this flashy fighting game.

World Class Bowling Deluxe

(Incredible Technologies, 1997)

A bowling video game for 1-4 players.

We have 2 of these game boards on the way, but since they share the same control scheme with Golden Tee Golf, they will be used in the first Combo Cabinets made by Tybee Games.

Virtua Fighter

(Sega, 1993)

A head-to-head fighter for 1-2 players.

The fisrt arcade fighting game to use fully 3D polygon graphics, remembered for its realistic fighting animations and 3D graphics engine. We have acquired a full game board set in good condition.

The only thing limiting production of any coin-operated arcade machines is the availablity of the specific game boards. The arcade PCB market is at an interesting point right now with prices on certain games (like Donkey Kong, Pac-Man or any "golden age" game) very expensive, even if in non-working condition, while other less popular games are downright cheap and fairly easy to acquire.

If you are looking for bona fide golden age arcade games (like Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, Donkey Kong, etc.) and you are planning on having the machine in your home in a non-revenue-generating (freeplay) situation, a Multicade might be the option for you. Otherwise, if we can find a gameboard for the game you're looking for, we can build the rest with better parts than were in an original machine in most cases.

General Pricing:

Game prices will vary depending on the game board price, type of monitor (CRTs are more expensive than LCDs) and to some extent, the controls used on the control panel. The following is a realistic range of prices for coin-op arcade machines with cheaper game boards with LCD monitors on the low end and more expensive game boards with CRT monitors on the high end.

Tybee Games Coin-Op Arcade Reproduction: $800.00 - $1,400.00 (USD)

Tybee Games Reproduction Cabinet Only: $400 - $600 (USD)
